IV. ICT
ICT (Information and Communications Technologies) is an integral part of studying in the 21st
Century. This enables the students to access information easily, to communicate in a variety of
manners, to present their work in different formats and to learn computer skills needed for
life.
Let’s Find Out has direct online access at www.eadventure.co.il/LFO/ICT making ICT readily
and easily available to the students and the teacher. The online materials in Let’s Find Out are
embedded on the leading Israeli learning platforms and are designed for in-class, individual
and at home use. The students’ access at home offers another avenue for language practice.
Within the book, all the Let’s Surf! activities have direct links to the activities. These are
directly connected to
what was taught and what is being discussed in class.
Work with the Vocabulizer is available for all the new and review words, providing the
students with opportunities to practice the vocabulary in a large variety of ways.
Furthermore, the Let’s Find Out website offers:
•
•
•
•
•
•
•
interactive grammar review tasks
exclusive videos that support and expand the Student’s Book
printable worksheets
audio passages
Web Quests
reading extension
interactive quizzes
Beyond the use of the Let’s Find Out website as a source for Access to Information, the
students should be encouraged to use ICT to present their work.
For Presentation, students should use::
•
•
•
•
Word to present written work
PowerPoint to show presentations or instead of posters
clips and YouTube to share oral and role play ideas
Prezi for presentations
For Social Interaction, students should:
•
•
•
•
use Google docs to create collaborative work within a group of students
open a class Wiki (available at www.wikispaces.com)
open a safe class blog (available at www.kidblog.org/home)
open a class forum (usually available on the school sites)
