Radio announcer: Good evening ladies and gentlemen. My name is Matt Molson. Welcome
to the Carla S. show here at Sparkov Castle! The room is very full tonight – in fact, I am
afraid that we have standing-room only! It looks like the show is about to begin. There is
Carla S. – of course, she is the king’s cousin, Carla Sparkov. She is on the stage with her
band….
Today’s Carla (whispering): Look, guys! That’s me, up on stage!
Announcer: ...and we have many special guests in the audience tonight. The king and queen
are here, standing next to the stage. The queen’s brother is here, too – of course you know
the famous astronaut, Zack Garcia.
Today’s Zack (whispering): Wow, I’m famous, too!
Announcer: This is a very special night for us here in Pine Lake City, because it is the first
time that Carla S. is performing here. Welcome home, Carla!
Today’s Anna: But wait a minute… what did he say about…
Today’s Albert: Shhhh! The show is about to start!
Future Carla (amplified, echo): Thank you Pine Lake City! It is so good to come home again. I
never want to leave!!! Ok, guys, are you ready? And a one, two, three, FOUR!
(She starts singing Who Will You Be?)
Today’s Albert: Oh no! The computer only has 1% batt....
Fade out music
(Carla, Albert, Zack and Anna all at once in the echo-y, empty castle ballroom):
Zack: Cool!
Anna: I can’t believe it!
Carla: Amazing!
Albert: That was GREAT!!
(Kids footsteps on parquet walking away, big door creaks and slams closed as they leave the
ballroom)
