EASIER OPTION: Place the items one at a time on the desk, having the whole class chorally
say ‘I see a …’. Then, as if rewinding, remove items and have the students say ‘I don’t see a
…’.
CHALLENGING OPTION: Play the game according to the original version. But then remove
four items and have the students remember what they don’t see anymore. They should say
‘I don’t see …’
WKBK: Have the students turn to workbook pages 67-69 and do exercises 11-14.

HOTS: COMPARE AND CONTRAST
Have the students turn to page 231 in the workbook to make their
own timetable.
They will need:
• a pencil and an eraser
• scissors
• a friend
• workbook page 231
P: Students use
given criteria, such
as a checklist/rubric
to prepare
presentations.
They should use Present Simple in their sentences.
Read the instructions with them on page 61 and do an example or two with them on the
board to ensure comprehension of the task.
They should use the checklist on page 242 of the workbook to make sure they’ve done
everything needed.
When they are finished, you could decorate the class or have the students present.
You can use the checklist below to evaluate their task.
Criteria
I wrote my name, my class and the date.
I completed all the days and hours on the timetable.
I used the Present Simple correctly.
I compared with my friend.
I wrote two sentences about something that my friend and I do every day.
