The kids learn about computers and digital books, and how libraries of the
future will be different from today’s libraries.
Part 3
How Will Pine Lake Change?
p. 202
The kids walk out of the library, where they view the future Pine Lake City
on screen. At the future Paulo and Daughters Pizza they see a video
advertisement with future astronaut Zack Garcia playing on a video wall!
Part 4
What Is That Music?
p. 212
On screen the kids see a girl wearing a smart watch that is playing a song.
The song is familiar to Carla – she wrote it! It’s “Who Will You Be?”, the song
that she and Albert were practicing in Unit 1.
Part 5
Who Is at the University?
p. 217
On screen the kids see teenagers wearing t-shirts with future Carla’s picture
on them. They understand when she grows up Carla will be a pop star! They
follow the teenagers to Pine Lake University, where a hologram of Nobel
Prize-winning physicist Dr. Anna Garcia-Sparkov (the future Anna) is talking
to students.
Part 6
What Is Happening in the Castle?
p. 227
The kids walk with the on screen teens to Sparkov Castle. They follow future
Zack, future Anna and future Albert into the castle and into the grand
ballroom. At that moment the computer’s battery power runs out.

We listen to the future, as an announcer welcomes everyone to Carla
Audio
Sparkov’s concert at Sparkov Castle. The announcer notes that Carla’s
Reveal
cousin the king is in the audience too, along with the queen and her brother,
astronaut Zack Garcia.

The kids are now back in Albert’s room, sitting near the bandstand, singing
Carla’s song. A light is shining through the portrait peephole. We
understand that it’s the hologram of future Albert, King Sparkov.
