WKBK: Have the students turn to workbook page 173 and
do exercise 1 by numbering the pictures in the right order
and then writing a sentence for each picture.

Pullout Box – Words Around the World
Have the students read the pullout box and compare some of the
cognates provided there with their own language. Are they the
same? Have the students try to find more words that are similar.
Remind the students that sometimes the words are the same but
we pronounce them slightly differently. For example, in the word
‘astronaut’ the first syllable is stressed in English: AS-tro-naut.

Have the students write the answers in their notebooks.
