What Is Everybody Talking About?

Albert and Dexter see an ad for a new movie, “The Legend of the Lake
Monster” opening at the Pine Lake Cinema. Then, they listen to Sam Smith’s
radio review of the movie.
Part 3
Are Monsters Real?
p. 105
Albert, Carla, Ann and Zack go to see “The Legend of the Lake Monster”.
That night, after the movie they are sitting by the lake when they hear a
loud, strange, scary sound, and see a big splash in the lake.
Part 4
Who Is Making a Movie?
p. 112
Albert demonstrates his new movie camera. He wants to make a movie that
shows if there is a real monster in Pine Lake.
Part 5
What Is in the Lake?

The four kids go to the lake. They film another big splash in the water. On
page 125 we see the kids looking at their film, frame by frame.

A Surprise at the End!

As they are looking at their film, radio chimes interrupt. Sam Smith (from
Pine Lake Radio) is reporting live from the lake where the director of “The
Legend of the Lake Monster” is about to reveal the “star” of his movie: an

actress who emerges from the lake wearing a monster costume and flippers.

The director is introducing her when we hear the strange, scary sound again.
