My Secret Notebook by Maya
Today I want to tell you about a book that I love. The book is called Harriet the Spy. It is
about a girl called Harriet. Harriet is eleven years old, like me. She is a spy. She likes to watch
people. She loves to write about the things that people do. Harriet writes about what she
sees in her secret notebooks. She keeps the secret notebooks under her bed, where nobody
can find them.
I think Harriet is very smart! She tells her best friend Sport that she writes everything in her
notebook so she can remember what she sees. That is a very good idea. I want to be a spy,
like Harriet. That is why I will write this in MY secret notebook.
