Teach the new vocabulary words from New Words (almost, belong to, Lost and Found, nice,
no problem, office, wait, welcome). Reinforce these new words via at least one or two
activities.

6. Let’s Talk!
Have the students look at the picture and ask:
• What do you see in the picture?
• What are the children looking at?
Explain what a lost and found office is. Say that this is a place where people bring things
they found that don’t belong to them or go to if they lost something, hoping someone
brought it in. Usually, if you find something you take it to the lost and found
office in the place where you found it. This one is in Pine Lake.
Ask if anyone has ever lost or found something and where they took it or went to find it.
7. Let’s Listen and Answer!
Explain that they will hear a conversation among the people in the
lost and found office.
Have the students read the questions and make sure the questions
are clear.
