Present each card one at a time and say the words: birthday, mouth, teeth, thirsty.
Say: Open your Course Books to page 50. Look at the new words.

Say: Let’s read and say the words.

Have pupils point to each word in their Course Books and say the words.
Show ‘thirsty’ flashcard and say: I’m thirsty.
▪
Do a gesture to illustrate the meaning and have pupils repeat the chunk and movement.
▪
Ask different pupils: Are you thirsty? (Elicit: Yes, I’m thirsty. / No.)
▪
If “yes” ask: What do you want to drink? (Elicit any logical response.)
