Sing “I Like to Eat” (song #2.21) to review the vocabulary and lexical chunks.

Review the vocabulary using the flashcards and/or gestures: chocolate, coffee, cookie, jam, juice,
salad, sandwich, tea, water, eat, drink.

Ask: Who remembers? (Elicit the words.)

Have pupils repeat the words.
Ask: What do we eat? (Elicit: chocolate, cookies, jam, salad, sandwich.)

What do we drink? (Elicit: coffee, juice, tea, water.)
Ask different pupils: Do you like (chocolate)? Elicit: Yes, I do. / No, I don’t.)

Repeat to review several words and give several pupils an opportunity to respond.
Fun with Phonics

Teach the new vocabulary in the Course Book using the flashcards.
