Say: Open your Course Books to page 19. Look at #3.

Say: Look at the family. Who is this? (Point to each of the family members and
elicit: This is (Dad / Mom / Grandfather / Grandmother / Baby / Sister /
Brother).
•
Remind pupils that "Dad" and "Mom" have two names – "Dad" is "Father" and
"Mom" is "Mother" (use L1 if needed).
Game
•
Say: Let’s play a game.
•
Play the game to review the family vocabulary: family, dad/father, mom/mother, brother, sister,
baby, grandfather, grandmother.
•
Just a Peek (game #4)

Show a covered flashcard with only one corner visible.
▪
Ask: Who is this?
▪
Have pupils guess the word. If they don’t know, reveal another corner.
▪
Continue until they get the answer correct, then reveal the whole card.
▪
Once revealed, ask again: Who is this? (Elicit: This is…)
▪
Repeat with all the words.

Read the text once together with the pupils.
Hi, my name is Sam. This is my family. I have a big family. This is our pet cat, Billy.

My (Grandmother) and (Grandfather) look on the desk.
My dad and the baby brother look in the box.
