Performance Task
•
Say: Open your Stories & More book to page 136.
•
Have pupils follow the instructions on the page to complete the performance task. Have pupils assess
their work by completing the performance task checklist on page 287 of the Course Book.
•
Encourage pupils to copy vocabulary words from the glossary in the back of the Stories & More book
(page 138) to complete the travel plan.
•
The pupil’s work may then be displayed in an English corner in the classroom. Draw pupil’s attention
to the board once it is complete and be sure to praise pupils for their work.
NOTE
•
An alternative to writing the travel plan in the English Notebook is to provide pupils with paper.
Pupils can decorate the travel plan and add illustration and/or photographs.
Use the Performance Task Rubric in Appendix Vb to assess the pupil’s work.
