Where do you think Alex will travel to in the story? (Elicit any logical answer
based on the images on the cover of the story)

Say: Let’s read the story and find out where Alex travels to.

Challenge a strong class to do a pre-reading challenge task. Say: Open your Legendary Stories &
More book to the Look and Find task on page 122.

Give pupils some time to explore the story Alex Around the World with a partner or small group by
scanning it in their Stories & More book from page 123 to page 135.

Pupils can answer the questions orally with their partner/group or record their responses in their
English Notebooks.
Review the task together with the class and ask pupils to show you on which pages in the story they
found the answers.
