Say: Open your Stories & More book to page 111.

Play the game with a partner or small group.
▪
Provide each group of pupils with two dice.
▪
As they are playing the game, encourage pupils to speak in English to communicate with their
group members.
Explain the rules of the game to the pupils:

Roll one die. Find the number on the left column of the chart.
▪
Roll the second die. Find the number on the top row of the chart.
▪
Complete the task where the column and the row meet.

Remind the pupils of the different topics and words that were covered by showing them Course Book
page 183.

Ask pupils if they recognize the image. Remind pupils that they saw the image in the beginning of the
unit (part 1).

Point and ask: What’s the weather? (Elicit the weather: It is (windy and rainy).)
▪
What season is it? (Elicit: It is fall.)
▪
What can you do in the fall? (Elicit any logical response: play in the leaves, jump in the rain, etc.)
▪
What do you wear when it is windy/rainy outside? (Elicit any logical response: a coat, boots,
take an umbrella, etc.)

Repeat and ask about each of the four scenes.
Review vocabulary by asking pupils to look at the picture of the weather and say words they know, or
ask: What do you see?

Ask pupils to point out new words they have learned that they didn’t know the first time they
saw the image (in Part 1).
▪
Words that can be elicited include (but are not limited to): winter, snow, cold, igloo, coat, scarf,
carrot, sky, spring, cloud, warm, fly, play, hat, ball, flower, tree, fall, wind, gray, rain, umbrella,
boots, wet, cool, leaves, summer, beach, swim, sun, hot, water, etc.
Ask different pupils: What is your favorite season? Why?
