Repeat the game several times with different sentences.

Ask a pupil to lead the game. The pupil can say: It is…in the… (correct or incorrect response), and
the rest of the class should respond accordingly.

Say: Open your Course Books to page 226.

Have pupils complete the tasks on pages 226 – 229.
Review the instructions for each task before allowing pupils to
work on their own or with a partner.

#1: Read and color the seasons in green, color the weather
words in yellow, color the months of the year in blue, and
color the clothes in purple.

#2: Choose any 9 words from task #1 and write them in
any order in the boxes. Write one word in each box. Play BINGO with your class.

#3: Write sentences to describe what the kids are doing in the pictures. Use the table to help you.

#4: Look at the sounds on the left. Circle the words on the
right that make the sound.

#6: Read the story. Circle the best title for the story below.

#7: Read the sentences. Mark yes or no according to the
story.

Performance Task
•
Say: Open your Stories & More book to page 110.
•
Have pupils follow the instructions on the page to complete the performance task. Have pupils assess
their work by completing the performance task checklist on page 287 of the Course Book.
•
Divide the class into 12 small group (or pairs). Assign each group a month of the year.
•
Provide each group with an A4 piece of paper.
•
Combine each groups' work into a class calendar and display it in an English corner in the classroom.
Draw pupil’s attention to the board once it is complete and be sure to praise pupils for their work.
Use the Performance Task Rubric in Appendix Vb to assess the pupil’s work.
