Review the vocabulary using the flashcards: hot, cold, cool, warm, cloud, rain, sun.

Ask: Who remembers? (Elicit the words.)

Have pupils repeat the words.
Ask (use L1 if needed): What do these words have in common? (Elicit a logical response in L1 if
needed, then repeat in English: They all have to do with the weather.)

Tell pupils that today they will begin a new unit on the topic of the weather and seasons of the
year.
