Have pupils complete the tasks on pages 174 – 177.
Review the instructions for each task before allowing pupils to
work on their own or with a partner.

picture. Then, at the bottom of the page, copy the letters
according to the numbers to complete the secret
sentence.

#2: Write the correct word to complete the sentences. Use the word box to help you.
▪
#3: Write the correct vowel team from the box to
complete the words. Some vowel teams may be used
more than once.
▪
#4: Write the words from #3 to complete the puzzle.
▪
#5: Read the text. Complete the text with the words in the
word box.

Performance Task

Say: Open your Stories & More book to page 82.
•
Have pupils follow the instructions on the page to complete the performance task. Have pupils assess
their work by completing the performance task checklist on page 287 of the Course Book.

The pupil’s work may then be displayed in an English corner in the classroom. Draw pupil’s attention
to the board once it is complete and be sure to praise pupils for their work.
NOTE
•
Encourage strong pupils or a strong class to expand on the given dialogues using language they know.
•
Encourage the use of simple props in the pupils' performances where appropriate and available.
•
If resources are available, allow pupils to digitally record the dialogues in short videos as an
alternative to in-class performance.
Use the Performance Task Rubric in Appendix Vb to assess the pupil’s work.
