Play the game to review the vocabulary: beach, ears, tea, feet, cheese, hair, rain, gray, cloud, cow,
flower, town, outside, cool, zoo, cookie.

Present each flashcard one at a time.

Say: I see a (beach).
▪
If what you say is correct, pupils repeat: I see a (beach).
▪
If what you say is incorrect, pupils say: No, no, no, ha, ha, ha!
▪
Repeat the game several times with different words.

Ask a pupil to lead the game. Ask the pupil: What do you see?

The pupil can say: I see a _____ . (correct or incorrect response), and the rest of the class should
respond accordingly.

After all the words have been played, ask pupils to identify the vowel team in each word. Point to or
circle the vowel teams and elicit the sound: ea/ee/ai/ay/ou/ow/oo (long and short).
