they know about New York City. Tell pupils who don’t know that it is a big city in
the United States of America (USA).

Say: Let's listen and learn about New York City. Number the pictures in the order you hear
them.

Show pupils that the first picture is numbered for them.

Hi, my name is Dave. I live in New York City. New York is a very big city!
You can come to New York by car, by train, or fly in an airplane!
Come see the city with me. I can show you something new every day!
On Monday, we can walk in the streets and go shopping in the stores.
There are a lot of people in New York City!
On Tuesday, we can see the city by boat.
It is fun to see the city from the water!
On Wednesday, we can see the city by bus.
The bus is big and red, and you can sit on the top!
On Thursday, we can eat lunch in the park.
