Ask: Good morning. What day is it today? (Elicit: Today is (Sunday).)

Go around the room and ask different pupils:

What is your favorite day of the week? Why? (Elicit: My favorite day is…)

Sing “Mother is in the Bedroom" (song #1.30) to review the rooms of the house: bathroom, bedroom,
living room, kitchen.

Game

Say: Let’s play a game.
•
Play the game to review the vocabulary: beach, cheese, clean, coffee, ears, feet, meat, sleep, street,
teacher, teeth, tree.

Just a Peek (game #4)
•

Show a covered flashcard with only one corner visible.
▪
Ask: What is this? Have pupils guess the word. If they don’t know, reveal another corner.
▪
Continue until they get the answer correct, then reveal the whole card.
▪
Once revealed, ask again: What is this? (Elicit: This is…)
▪
Repeat with all the words.
Ask: What sound do you hear in all the words? (Elicit: Long /E/ sound)
▪
Look at the words. What two vowel pairs make the long /E/ sound? (Elicit: "ee" and "ea")
