Challenge a strong class to do a pre-reading challenge task. Say: Open your Legendary Stories &
More book to the Look and Find task on page 40.

Give pupils some time to explore the story Anne in the Mirror with a partner or small group by
scanning it in their Stories & More book from page 41 to page 53.

Pupils can answer the questions orally with their partner/group or record their responses in their
English Notebooks.
Review the task together with the class and ask pupils to show you on which pages in the story they
found the answers.
First Reading

Read the story Anne in the Mirror all the way through (or play the audio file).

Pupils should follow along with the story in their Stories & More book.

After reading, ask questions related to the story.
•
Ask: What does Anne do to get ready in the morning? (Elicit: She wakes up, puts on clothes, brushes
her teeth, eats breakfast, and puts on socks and shoes.)

Say: Look at the last page of the story (Stories & More page 53). Ask:

long black pants, and green socks.)
Say Open your Course Books to page 118. Were we correct about what happened in the story?
