Greetings

Go around the room and ask different pupils:

What day is it today? (Elicit: Today is (Sunday).)

What time is it? (Elicit: It is ___ o'clock.)
▪
What are you wearing? (Elicit: I am wearing…)
▪
What is your favorite color? (Elicit: My favorite color is…)

Sing “Good Morning, Dear Pupils” (song #1.6).
Vocabulary
Review

Review the vocabulary using the flashcards: clean, hot, cold, warm, long, short, put on, take off.
▪
Ask: Who remembers? (Elicit the words.)
▪
Have pupils repeat the words.
▪
Do gestures for 'put on' and 'take off' to illustrate the meaning. Say a chunk and mime an action
to practice the chunks with you: It is cold, put on a jacket. Take off your hat. Put on your shoes.
It is warm, take off your sweater., etc.
Ask: What is the opposite of "hot"? (Elicit: cold)

Repeat for: long (short), put on (take off)

Say: Let's play a game.

Play the game to review the vocabulary: clothes, shirt, pants, dress, skirt, sweater, coat, shoes, socks,
boots, jacket, hat.
