Teach the new vocabulary in the Course Book using the flashcards.

Present each card one at a time and say the words: clean, cold, warm, long, put on, take off.
▪
Do gestures for 'put on' and 'take off' to illustrate the meaning. Say a chunk and mime an action
to practice the chunks with you: It is cold, put on a jacket. Take off your hat. Put on your shoes.
It is warm, take off your sweater., etc.
Say: Open your Course Books to page 90. Look at the new words.

Say: Let's read and say the words.

Have pupils point to each word in their Course Books and say the words.
Show ‘cold’ flashcard and ask (use L1 if needed): What is the opposite of 'cold'? (Elicit: hot)
