Have the pupils respond together: I am fine, thank you. How are you?

Have pupils turn to the person sitting next to them and ask: How are you?
Ask: What day is it today? (Elicit: Today is (Sunday).)

How do you feel today? (Elicit: I feel happy/sad/mad/afraid/surprised)
▪
Ask different pupils: What are you wearing? (Elicit: I am wearing...)
Song

Sing “If You’re Wearing Red” (song #1.10) and have pupils follow the commands.

Add modified verses to the chant to change the color.

Review the vocabulary using the flashcards: clothes, shirt, pants, dress, skirt, sweater, coat, shoes,
socks, boots, jacket, hat.

Ask: Who remembers? (Elicit the words.)
▪
Have pupils repeat the words.
Say: Stand up if you are wearing (blue socks).
▪
Have pupils stand according to the color and clothing item you say. Ask: What are you wearing?
(Elicit: I am wearing (blue socks).)
▪
Repeat for various colors and clothes.
