LEGENDARY Teacher's Guide - Book - Page 119
•
Say: Open your Course Books to page 79. Look at #2.
•
Review and practice new vocabulary by asking pupils to look at the picture of the
shopping center and circle words they know.
▪
Elicit as many words as the pupils can remember from the picture, including
but not only, the words that were taught in task #1. Point to or circle the
items on the board as the pupils say them.
▪
Words that can be elicited include (but are not limited to): woman, boy,
shoes, socks, bag, jacket, skirt, dress, hat, coat, book, shirt, boots, pants,
scarf, sweater, umbrella, ball.
•
Ask questions to review the language chunks and to elicit the words: What do you see? How many…
do you see? What color is…?
•
Ask: Where do you think this is? (Elicit any logical response (in L1 if needed), for example: at the
mall/store/shopping center)
▪
Do you like to shop for clothes? (Ask different pupils and elicit: Yes, I do. / No, I don’t.)

▪
Point to your clothes and give at least 3 examples. Say (for example): I am wearing (a green shirt,
blue pants, and black shoes).
▪
Ask a few volunteers: What are you wearing? (Elicit: I am wearing…)
