Say: Good morning. What day is it today? (Elicit: Today is (Sunday).)

Say together with the pupils: Today is (Sunday). Yesterday was (Saturday). Tomorrow will be
(Monday).
▪
Ask: What time is it? (Elicit: It is ___ o’clock.)
Game
•
Toss the Ball (game #11)
▪
Toss the ball to a pupil and ask different questions:

Do you like to eat/drink (bananas)? (Elicit: Yes, I do. / No, I don't.)

What is your favorite food? (Elicit: My favorite food is…)

What do you like to eat for breakfast/lunch/dinner? (Elicit: I like to eat… for
breakfast/lunch/dinner.)

After the pupil responds, she/he tosses the cube back to you and you respond: Thank you.
▪
Once you have demonstrated the questions a few times, have the pupils toss the ball to another
pupil and ask a question.
▪
Repeat until many pupils have had a turn.
