12. Stop Me When
• Say a word. Show the flashcards one at a time until the correct card is shown.
• Pupils should shout "Stop!" and do the gesture when they see the correct word. Say
the word together with the pupils.
• Repeat to practice all the words.
13. Memory Game
• Play the game in pairs.
• Have pupils place the cards they cut out from Activity Book page 19 face down on
the table.
• One pupil turns over a card, looks at the picture, and says what it is.
• Then the pupil turns over another cards, looking for a matching card (number, and
number of objects).
• If the pupil finds a pair, they say what they have. They may keep the pair.
• The pupil then takes another turn and continues until they do not find a match. If
this happens, the pupil turns the cards back over, and the next pupil takes a turn.
• The pupil with the most pairs at the end wins.
14. BINGO
• Before playing the game, have pupil choose any 9 stickers from the sticker page and
stick them onto the BINGO board in any order they choose.
• Hand out small pieces of paper or BINGO chips for pupils to use during the game.
• Randomly select a word. Show the flashcard and say the word.
• If pupils have the picture on their board, they cover it with a BINGO chip.
• Repeat by selecting another word.
• When a pupil gets three in a row (horizontally, vertically, or diagonally) the pupil
must raise their hand and call: BINGO!
• Have the pupils tell you which three pictures were covered.
• To play again, have pupils clear their boards of chips, and call out different words.
• You may choose to have the winning pupil run the next round and call out the
words.
15. The Color Game
• Say a color and have pupils touch (or point to) something in the room that is that
color.
• Ask a pupil to lead the game by saying a color that the rest of the class should find.
• Repeat to practice all the colors.
