Use Max the Puppet to greet the pupils and say: Hello. Good morning.
Go around the room with Max and ask the pupils: Are you a boy or a girl?

Tell pupils they will be hearing a story. Say the title of the story: The Wheels on the
Bus
Elicit and have pupils point to any vocabulary on the book cover, for example: bus,
wheels, driver, wipers, etc.
