Greetings

Say: Hello, what is your name?

Max: My name is Max.

Ask: How are you?
•
Max: I am fine, thank you.
•
Have the pupils practice with you and then have several pupils practice with Max.
Song

Teach and chant the “Classroom Management Chant” (song #1.9) and have pupils do
the gestures.
Vocabulary
Review

Review the vocabulary using the flashcards: red balloon, yellow balloon, blue balloon,
green balloon, black balloon, orange balloon.
Point to a balloon and ask: What is this? (Elicit: This is a (red) balloon.)
Have pupils repeat the words.
Review numbers 1-5 by counting the balloons. Ask: How many balloons do you see?
Count together with the pupils 1-5, and then say: six.

Say: Now let’s learn more numbers.
•
Teach the new vocabulary using the flashcards.
Present each card one at a time and say the words: six, seven, eight, nine, ten.
Have pupils repeat the words.
