Have pupils repeat the words and/or gestures.
Game

Go to Sleep (game #4)
Play the game with the words: big, book, frog, jump, swim, water, boy, girl.
Have pupils put their head on the desk and say: Good night. Go to sleep!
Hide one of the cards and say: Good morning. Wake up!
Ask: What’s missing?
Have pupils say what is missing. Reveal the card to check the answer.
Repeat the game several times and take away a different card each time.
Lexical Chunks

Teach the new lexical chunks: What do you see? I see…
Show flashcards one at a time and ask: What do you see? I see a
(frog/girl/balloon/clown).
Show ‘frog’ flashcard and ask: What do you see?
Have the pupils respond and do the gesture: I see (a frog).
Repeat for each word.

Remind the class that a book in English opens from left to right.
•
Point to the title and say: The name of the story is Grib and His Frog

•
Ask: What is the name of the baby frog? (Elicit: Grib)
•
Say:
This is a story about a baby frog named Grib and his family.
