Say: Open your books to page 9.

Say: This is a clown. What does the clown have? (Elicit: balloons)

Say:
Color the balloon yellow, blue, red, green, or orange.
Write your name on your balloon in black. (Remind the pupils
to write their name from left to right.)
Cut out your balloon.
•
After pupils have colored their balloon, ask: Who has a red balloon?
•
Have the pupils with red balloons respond: I have a red balloon.
•
Say: Stick your balloons around the clown on the poster.
•
Do the same with the blue, yellow, green, and orange balloons.
•
Say: Open your books to page 11.
•
Say: Listen and put the correct stickers from sticker page 1 on each
balloon.
Number 1 is a green balloon.
Number 2 is a yellow balloon.
Number 3 is a blue balloon.
Number 4 is a red balloon.
•
Reveal and check answers.
•
Point to each balloon and ask: What color is (balloon #1)?
•
Have the pupils respond: It is _____ .
•
Ask: How many balloons does the clown have? (Count with the pupils and elicit: 4)
•
Say: Open your books to page 12.
•
Ask: How many green balloons are there?
•
Count the balloons together with the pupils.
•
Say: Draw a line from the number to the balloon(s).
•
Repeat with the orange and red balloons.
•
Reveal and check answers.
•
Point to the green balloons and ask: How many balloons are there? (Elicit: five green
balloons)
•
Repeat with the remaining colors.
