13. Roll the Dice
•
Show six flashcards. Write the numbers 1-6 below each picture.
•
Say a word and have pupils hold up the correct number of fingers according to the
number below the picture.
•
Repeat a few times.
•
Use the cube on the colors/numbers side.
•
Now, toss the cube to a pupil. Have the pupil say a word on the board according to
the number he/she has rolled (the side that faces up).
•
Have the pupil toss the cube back to you and then you toss it to another pupil and
repeat.
•
After a few turns, shuffle the words on the board so that the numbers change.
•
Continue playing the game until many pupils have had a turn.
14. Pass the Cube
•
Toss the cube to a pupil and have Max say: Hello, my name is Max. What is your
name?
•
The pupil responds: Hello my name is…
•
The pupil tosses the cube back to you and you respond: Thank you.
•
Repeat with a few pupils.
•
Now, have the pupil toss the cube to another pupil and ask: What is your name?
•
The pupil responds (My name is…) and asks a different pupil.
•
Repeat until many pupils have had a turn.
15. Number/Picture Game
•
Show the flashcards.
•
Write the numbers 1-10 below each picture.
•
Say a word that is on one of the flashcards. Tell the pupils to look at the number
under the picture and say the number while holding up the correct number of
fingers.
•
Alternate by you saying a number and the pupils replying with the corresponding
word.
•
After a few turns, shuffle the words on the board so that the numbers change.
16. Stop Me When…
Say: Stop me when you see (a window).
Start showing the flashcards one at a time. Keep showing the flashcards until the
pupils shout "Stop!"
Ask: What is this? (Elicit: This is (a window).)
Repeat with all the words.
