Reviewing It All
Game
•
Use the Memory Game to review action words vocabulary.
•
Say: Open your books to page 171.
•
Mime Game (game #8)
•
Use the page to review the words: run, sleep, listen, sit down,
jump, stand up, hug, think, fall, swim, write, walk
Act out an action and have pupils say what you are doing.
Have pupils take turns coming to the front of the class and acting out a word for
the rest of the class to guess.
Memory Game (game #12)
Say: Cut out the pictures. Play the memory game with a partner. Each partner
must bring their own cards. Say the words and do the gestures as you play.
Give pupils time to cut the pictures and play the game together:

Pupils should mix up two sets of cards (one set from each partner).

One pupil turns over a card, looks at the picture, and says what it is.

Then the pupil turns over another card, looking for a matching card.

If the pupil finds a pair, they should do the gesture say the word. They may
keep the pair.

The pupil then takes another turn and continues until they do not find a
match. If this happens, the pupil turns the cards back over, and the next pupil
takes a turn.

The pupil with the most pairs at the end wins.
Have pupils save the cards in the envelope in the back of the book to use again.

Say: Open your books to page 173.
•
Have pupils "read" the pictures across each row out loud or to a
partner to review the words. Pupils should use their finger to follow
the pictures as they move from left to right.
