Go around the room and have Max ask different pupils different questions:
Hello, what is your name? (Elicit: My name is _____ .)
How are you? (Elicit: I am fine, thank you.)
How do you feel? (Elicit: I feel happy/sad/afraid/angry/surprised.)
Do you like to (sleep)? (Elicit: I like to (sleep). / I don’t like to (sleep).
Song

Sing “If You’re a Boy/Girl (song #1.8) and have pupils do the commands as they sing.

Show ‘morning’ flashcard and ask: What do we say when we come to school in
the morning? (Elicit: Good morning!)
Teach the new lexical chunk: Good night
Show ‘night’ flashcard and ask: What do we say when we go to sleep at night?

Act out the sentences and do the gestures to illustrate the meaning.
Show flashcards one at a time and ask: What do we say (in the morning/at
night)? (Elicit: Good morning or Good night)
