Go around the room and have Max ask different pupils different questions:
How are you? (Elicit: I am fine, thank you.)
How old are you? (Elicit: I am _____ years old.)
How many brothers/sisters do you have? (Elicit: I have _____ brothers/sisters.)
Do you like to (write/help)? (Elicit: I like to (write). / I don’t like to (write).)
Song
•
Sing “Colors of the Rainbow” (song #1.25) to review the colors.
Vocabulary
Review
•
Review the vocabulary using the flashcards: afraid, angry, happy, sad, surprised.
Ask: How do you feel? (Elicit the words, gestures, and lexical chunk: I feel...)
Have pupils repeat the words and gestures.
Game
•
The Cube Game (game #2)
Use the cube on the emotions side.
Throw the cube in the air and let it land on the floor.
Ask: How do you feel? (Elicit the emotion of the side that faces up: I feel _____ .)
Now, toss the cube to a pupil and ask: How do you feel? (Elicit: I feel _____ .)
Have the pupil toss the cube to another pupil and ask: How do you feel?
Repeat this until many pupils have had a turn.
