Greetings

Max asks the class: Good morning. How are you?
•
Have the pupils respond: I am fine, thank you. How are you?
•
Max: I am fine, thank you.
Game
•
Toss the Cube (game #17)
Toss the cube to a pupil and have Max ask different questions:
-
How do you feel? (Elicit: I feel happy/sad/afraid/angry/surprised.)
-
How old are you? (Elicit: I am _____ years old.)
-
Do you have a pet? (Elicit: Yes, I have a (cat/dog). / No.)
After the pupil responds, she/he tosses the cube back to you and you respond:
Thank you.
Repeat until many pupils have had a turn.
Song

Sing “Good Morning, Dear Pupils” (song #1.6)
Point to the pupils and yourself as you sing. Have the pupils copy you.
Vocabulary
Review
•
Review the vocabulary using the flashcards: chair, bed, book, door, floor, house, roof,
window.
Ask: Who remembers? (Elicit the words.)
Have pupils repeat the words.
