Demonstrate opening your Course Book to remind pupils that books in English
open from left to right.

Have two pupils come to the board and each draw a line from the left side of the
board to the right.
•
Have two more pupils come to draw lines from the top to the bottom.

Say: Point to the dog.
•
Have pupils trace the path from the dog to the dog house with their
fingers.
•
Now, have pupils trace the other paths with their fingers. Check that
all pupils trace from the left to the right.
•
Have pupils trace the paths with their pencils.
