Greetings
•
Go around the room and have Max ask different pupils different questions:
How are you? (Elicit: I am fine, thank you.)
Are you a (boy/girl)? (Elicit: Yes, I am a (boy). / No, I am not a (boy).)
How old are you? (Elicit: I am _____ years old.)
How many brothers/sisters do you have? (Elicit: I have _____ brothers/sisters.)

Sing “Good Morning, Dear Pupils” (song #1.6)
Vocabulary
Review
•
Review the vocabulary using the flashcards: telephone, today, trip, work.
Ask: Who remembers? (Elicit the words.)
Have pupils repeat the words.
Game
•
Three in a Row (game #21)
Show three randomly chosen vocabulary flashcards slowly: telephone, today,
trip, work, airplane, bus, car, bicycle, ship, train.
Tell pupils to remember the pictures they see.
Hide the cards.
Ask: Who remembers?
Have a pupil say all three words in the correct order. If the pupil is correct, reveal
the cards.
If the pupil made a mistake, ask the class if another pupil can help, and then have
