Have Max ask the class: Good morning. How are you?

Have the pupils respond: Good morning. I am fine, thank you. How are you?

Max: I am fine, thank you.

Sing “Good Morning, Max” (song #1.31)
Vocabulary
New
•
Teach the new vocabulary using the flashcards.
Present each card one at a time and say the words: telephone, today, trip, work.
Have pupils repeat the words.
Game
•
Stop Me When… (game #16)
Play the game with the words: airplane, bus, car, bicycle, ship, train, telephone,
trip, work.
Say: Stop me when you see (a car).
Start showing the flashcards one at a time. Keep showing the flashcards until the
pupils shout "Stop!"
Ask: What is this? (Elicit: This is (a car).)
Repeat with all the words.
