Greetings

Go around the room and have Max ask different pupils:
Hello, what is your name? (Elicit: My name is…)
How are you? (Elicit: I am fine, thank you.)
Are you a (boy/girl)? (Elicit: Yes, I am a (boy). / No, I am not a (boy).)
Are you (happy/sad)? (Elicit: Yes, I am (happy/sad). / No.)

Sing “Good Morning, Dear Pupils” (song #1.6)
Vocabulary
Review
•
Review the vocabulary using the flashcards: coat, cold, gloves, outside, play.
•
Ask: Who remembers? (Elicit the words.)
•
Have pupils repeat the words.
Game
•
Just a Peek (game #7)
Play the game with the vocabulary: coat, cold, gloves, outside, play, window, hat,
scarf, book.
Show a covered flashcard with only one corner visible.
Ask: What is this?
Have pupils guess the word. If they don’t know, reveal another corner.
Continue until they get the answer correct, then reveal the whole card.
Repeat with all the words.
