Game
•
BINGO (game #11)
•
Review vocabulary using the BINGO stickers (sticker page 4): window, dog, door,
house, tree, flowerpot, hat, truck, scarf, jump rope, toy, washing machine.
•
Ask: Who remembers? (Elicit the words.)
Have pupils repeat the words.
Say: Open your books to page 67.
Have pupils choose any 9 stickers from sticker page 4 and stick
them onto the BINGO board in any order they choose.
Hand out small pieces of paper or BINGO chips for pupils to use
during the game.
Randomly select a word. Show the flashcard and say: Look for
____.
Place the flashcard on the board.
If pupils have the picture on their board, they cover it with a BINGO chip.
Repeat by selecting another word.
When a pupil gets three in a row (horizontally, vertically, or diagonally) the pupil
must raise their hand and call: BINGO!
Have the pupils tell you which three pictures were covered and check them
against the pictures on the board.
Have pupils clear their boards of chips.
Shuffle the cards to reset the game and play again.
You may choose to have the winning pupil run the next round and call out the
words.
