Ask: Where is the pillow? (Elicit: the bedroom)

Game

Stop Me When… (game #16)
Play the game with the words: bed, chair, window, house, bathroom, kitchen,
bedroom, door, floor.
Say: Stop me when you see (a window).
Start showing the flashcards one at a time. Keep showing the flashcards until the
pupils shout "Stop!"
Ask: What is this? (Elicit: This is (a window).)
Repeat with all the words.

Teach the new vocabulary using the flashcards and gestures.
Present each card one at a time and say the words: in, near, on, under.
Have pupils repeat the words and gestures.

Teach and chant the “Preposition Chant” (song #1.39)

Have pupils copy the movements. Show and do the gestures as you chant:
Make your left hand a fist. Put your right hand flat on top for ‘on’
Put your right index finger in your fist for ‘in’
Put your right hand to the side of your fist for ‘near’
Put your right hand under your fist for ‘under’
