Have pupils circle the words with a hard /k/ sound in red and those with a soft /s/ sound in
blue. (Hard: cut, circle, can; Soft: circle, nice, face)
Have pupils do Let's Practice, Exercise 4 on page 84. Ask pupils to use the word bank and
write the correct word under each picture. (face, carpet, car, ice-cream, Lucy, circus) Now,
tell pupils to circle the words that have a soft /s/ sound: (face, ice-cream, Lucy, circus)
6. Read and Chant
• Have pupils repeat the chant after listening.
• Ask pupils identify rhyming words. (see, me; do, too)
Reflection
Ask pupils to talk about interesting places in their country that they visited which they would
recommend their classmates to visit.
