Play CD Track 99 as pupils follow in their books.
Explain to pupils that they will now scan the comic strip to try and find who the sentences
refer to.
Demonstrate by reading sentence 1 aloud. Tell pupils to quickly find and underline the
words time to go in the comic strip. Ask who said these words. (Mr. Moon)
Continue demonstrating by reading aloud sentence 2 and telling pupils to quickly find
the words our adventures are over in the comic strip. Ask who said these words and
who the word our refers to. (Henry and Lucy)
Read aloud sentences 3 - 8. Have pupils scan the text and raise their hands when
they know the answer. Wait until the majority of the class has found the answer and
then check. The purpose is to try to enable pupils to scan texts quickly without reading
every word.
Have pupils underline the sentences in which the words always and never appear.

Call on individuals to read out the three sentences and say who says them. (You will
always help and do good things. Remember, you will always be Superkids. (Princess
