Do you remember?
Ask: What story did we read in the last lesson? (Aladdin) What were Aladdin's two wishes? (to
go home, to have a big meal)
1. Sing a Song
• Have pupils look at the picture and say what they see.
• Elicit from pupils their experiences on carousels: Are they only for young children or do
older children also enjoy the ride?
• Have pupils scan the text, underlining all the animals. (horse, monkey, bear)
• Play CD Track 97 - The Carousel Song and sing the song with the class.
2. Talk Together
•
Demonstrate the activity by choosing one of the animals. State one or two facts about
the animal and have pupils guess the animal.
•
Pupils then take turns guessing the animal in the pictures their partner chose.
