Write the word funny on the board and teach its meaning in L1. Explain that the word
has two meanings in English – one meaning strange and the other meaning something
that makes you laugh.
• Write the word thin on the board and teach its meaning. Elicit the opposite. (fat) Expand
on experiences in a House of Mirrors, and that the mirrors distort the way people look.
Ask pupils if they have ever been in a House of Mirrors.
• Read the message from frame 5 aloud to the class.
• Write the word enter on the board. Explain its meaning in L1.
• Explain that Henry and Lucy can enter the park and continue having fun, only if the
pupils provide the information as to which unit the carpet comes from.
• Play CD Track 95. Have two pupils read the roles of Henry and Lucy aloud, as the
class follows in their books.
