have a classroom, gesturing to another classroom in the school.
2. Read and Complete
•
Tell pupils that Sara has written a letter to Lucy and Henry. Elicit what kind of letter it
might be. (Thank you letter)
•
Have pupils read the first line to check their prediction. Elicit that it is a thank you letter.
•
Have pupils underline the word picture(s) every time it appears. (4)
•
Have them complete the letter, using the words in the bank. Have individuals read their
answers while the class checks and corrects their work. (camera, monkeys, beautiful,
animals, elephant, magazine)
•
Remind pupils of the differences between a newspaper and a magazine and a postcard
and a letter.
3. Match

Have pupils work in pairs to match the sentences to the photos. (1. c, 2. d, 3. a, 4. e, 5.
