Have pupils scan the comic strip and underline the word monkey(s) each time it

Ask pupils to read frame 1 to find out where Sara, Lucy and Henry find Sara’s camera.
(The monkeys have Sara’s camera.)
Have pupils read the remaining frames and underline the five things that the monkeys
copy. (they point their fingers and shout; they put their hands on their heads; they clap
their hands; they jump up and down; they throw the camera.)
Play CD Track 75.
Read the role of the narrator and choose three pupils to read the roles of Sara, Lucy
and Henry. Have the rest of the class mimic the actions of the monkeys as they are
mentioned.

• Have pupils sit in pairs and summarize the story by matching the five beginnings and
endings of the sentences. (1. c, 2. d, 3. a, 4. e, 5. b)
• Have pupils read their sentences and mime their answers.
• Review the possessive pronouns my/your which were presented in Lesson 2, his/her
which were presented in lesson 5 and their is presented in this lesson. Review these
pronouns and add our for recognition purposes.
