1. Listen and Chant

Play CD Track 68.
Write the word guide on the board and say it aloud. Ask what letter we do not hear (u).
Explain the meaning of guide in L1, and explain that guides are used on safaris.
Have pupils scan the chant and underline two pairs of rhyming words. (ride, guide;
fast, last)
Read the chant with pupils.

a. Read aloud all the sentences.
