Now, it is cold.
Once there was a lion,
Along came the hunters,
He took a nap* one day.
And put up a big net.
Along came a mouse,
They caught the lion in it,
And started to play.
And who saved him? - You bet!
Be careful*, little mouse,
The tiny little mouse,
Be careful when you play.
Chewed* through the hunters’ net.
You’ll wake up the lion,
The lion went free*,
And he’ll eat you right away!
How lucky can you get!
Then the lion woke up,
The lion loves the mouse now,
The mouse cried: Let me go!
“You’re the best friend of all.
I will help you one day,
You helped me. You are brave,
If you let me go!
Even though you are so small!”
The lion started laughing,
